Just three months after marriage, the wife of a constable posted in Sultanpur district died under suspicious circumstances. After reaching the spot, the police filled the Panchnama of the body and sent it for post-mortem. At present no complaint has been given by the maternal side. The matter pertains to village Raghunathpur of Amroha Dehat police station area. The family of farmer Satpal Singh lives here.
His elder son Himanshu is a constable in Uttar Pradesh Police. While younger son Priyanshu stays at home and does coaching. Himanshu’s posting is in Sultanpur district. In November 2023 itself, he was married to 23-year-old Prachi, resident of village Dahakbada of Naugaon Sadat police station area. Himanshu did not take her with him to Sultanpur.
According to the police, Prachi was mentally stressed for a long time. On Saturday afternoon, Prachi was found lying unconscious in the house. By the time her in-laws took her to the private doctor, Prachi had died.
CO Anjali Kataria said that after the post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family members. At present no complaint has been received in the matter. People from the maternal side have been called. The matter of suicide by the married woman has come to light.
